When I found a recipe for this amazing pasta I knew I have to cook it as soon as I find a free moment. Those days I'm keeping myself pretty busy, working on my portfolio, shooting anything what I can, living somewhere in between Paris where my Lover is and London where I have job, flat and friends. I'm a person with a huge sense of responsibility- when I'm home I can't just lay down on the sofa and watch a movie - oh no. I feel like I ABSOLUTELY have to do something creative, new and exciting. I can take a break when I'm here, in Paris. Days seem to be longer here and life so much easier. I wake up at 10, have big breakfast, eat a lot of cheese and drink wine until midnight and I absolutely wouldn't care about calories. I like to be careless even just for one weekend. I wish myself to be like this on everyday bases because life's too short to worry about everything all the time. All will be ok. Let's have a big plate of pasta.
Prawns Tagliatelle
with White Wine and Cherry Tomatoes
(makes 2 portions)
2 tbsp olive oil
1 small red onion, finely sliced
1 garlic clove, finely sliced
Half chilli, finely chopped
75 ml dry white wine
15 cherry tomatoes, halved
10 large prawns, peeled
200 g tagliatelle pasta or any other which like the most
Salt, pepper
Half lemon (to serve)
Place a medium size frying pan over a medium heat and pour 2 tbsp of olive oil. Add onion, garlic and chilli. Fry for around 5-6 minutes, stir from time to time. Pour the wine, leave it to heat a little, add tomatoes, season with salt and black pepper and simmer for 5 minutes. Add prawns and simmer again for 3 minutes. Boil the pasta Al Dente (around 8-10 minutes). Mix pasta and sauce together. Serve with lemon.
