This recipe is perfect for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan eaters, who avoid calories but still want to treat themselves. All you need to do it's so freeze bananas and blend them in a food processor. I had fresh berries in my fridge so I simply crushed them and mixed with bananas. I also added some dark cocoa powder, for more exciting taste.
Are you ready for life changing recipe? Let's get started!
Banana Blueberry Ice Cream
(makes 1 portion)
2 bananas
6 blueberries
1 tbsp dark cocoa powder
Chop bananas into small pieces. Freeze the banana pieces in a food container, bag or anything suitable for freezing. It takes around 1-2 hours for banana to freeze, but just to make sure they are ready, you can leave them in the freezer overnight.
When fruits are frozen, place them into a food processor and blend till smooth. It'll take couple of minutes, so don't be afraid, if all you get on the beginning it's a crumbly mess. We want to get smooth, soft consistency, just like a regular ice cream. Use fork to crush the blueberries and add them to banana mix together with the dark cocoa powder. Blend for a couple of seconds more.
You have two options now. You can eat your ice cream straight away - even though they will be quite soft or transfer it to food container and freeze until solid (around 20 minutes). Enjoy!
