A healthy breakfast it's always more than welcome, especially if I have a long day ahead. Sometimes I know, I won't have time to eat for next couple of hours, so I prefer to start my day with something what gives me an energy kick for longer than usual. According to nutritionists, a perfect breakfast should contain a good carbs, proteins and some fiber. This red fruits yogurt has eveything what you need for a good start of the day. From oats mixed with nuts, raisins and prunes, to full of proteins Greek yogurt and a fruits blend. Everything topped with one spoon of natural honey. This simple recipe can be prepared even a night before, so all you need to do in the morning, it's to enjoy this delicious and clean breakfast.
Red Fruits Yogurt
Handful of red fruits mix - cherries, blueberries, blackberries ( fresh or frozen) plus couple of fruits for topping
200 g Greek yogurt (or any other type)
3 tbsp wholegrain wheat and oat flakes muesli
3 almonds, chopped
1 tsp raisins
2 prunes, chopped
Pinch of cinnamon
1 tsp natural honey
Use a blender to puree the fruits. When ready, place them into a serving dish (glass, jar or plastic container if you are planning to eat on your way to work). Top with the Greek yogurt, add muesli mix, chopped almonds, raisins and prunes. Sprinkle with the pinch of cinnamon, pour the honey and decorate with berries! Enjoy!
