Easy Roasted Figs and Goat Cheese

Figs roasted with a Parma ham and goat's cheese are one of my favourite starters. Sweet fruits composed with salty Parma ham and delicate goat's cheese are heaven. If you feel a bit more adventurous you can replace goat cheese with something stronger - French Roquefort or Italiano Gorgonzola. 


                                   Roasted Figs 
with Goat's Cheese and Parma Ham
(makes 2 portions)
6 fresh figs 
3 slices of parma ham
100 g of goat cheese 
Honey 

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Cut the cross into the top of each fig, then gently open the fruit. Divide the cheese between each of fig, and top it with half of slice of the parma ham. Place on the baking sheet and bake for around 8 minutes until the cheese has slightly melted and parma ham is crispy. Drizzle with liquid honey just before serving.
